Fudoh: I would propose the following changes:

Picture Settings:

- Contrast (was Brightness)

- Brightness (was Black Level)

The correct terms are either WHITE LEVEL / BLACK LEVEL or CONTRAST / BRIGHTNESS. The original japanese description is just wrong.

For screen settings, I'd prefer Shift and Zoom instead of position and size. It's simply more on track with other video processors out there (but doesn't matter eventually ;))

Suggestions for Options:

D2 Input -> YUV / VGA / RGB

Special Menu:

VL_V are the horizontal scanlines, so the english description should read H. Scanline (not the same wrong description as in the japanese menu)

And I'd like to suggest to keep LPF for LowPassFilter :)

----

Options > D2 Input - Settings should not be "YUV / S-Video / Composite" But "YUV / RGB-HV / RGB". The inputs on the back are VGA and D-terminal. The VGA port can be used as both RGBs and normal VGA and the D-terminal is YUV. Translating RGB-HV to S-video doesn't make any sense to me. (Konsolkongen)

As soon as we finished, this page MUST be LOCKED.

---

yes we'll lock it when we are set

The literal translations for:

色差 / セパレート / 複合

are:

Color component / Separate / Composite

----

Yes that is indeed true, but since there isn't a signal called "Separate" it should be VGA or RGB-HV which is what this option actually does. I don't assume that anyone in the world would use the VGA port for "Composite" so i think that should be changed to RGB as it's what most people would use. Same thing goes for the "RGB-21 INPUT signal" menu. Should be "YUV / RGB". (Konsolkongen)

One small thing, we are assuming lowercase is available maybe they're not. <- '''I''' will ask them (Akumajo) <- The "by" in DOT_by_DOT is written in lowercase (Konsolkongen) <- mail sent, always good to be 100% sure :) (Akumajo)

----

'''Suggestions'''

YUV -> YPbPr

DOT_by_DOT (OFF/ON) -> Pixel Mapping (Aspect/1:1) - Aspect? <- Scale ? Auto ? (RGB32e) I prefer Auto to Scale.  Come to think of it, Uniform might be more acurate than 1:1... hmmm....

Special -> Advanced

<- I agree with changing DOTbyDOT to Pixel Mapping and Special to Advanced. (Konsolkongen)

I guess YPbPr is more commonly used than YUV but i think the mix of upper and lowercase letters looks messed up. (Konsolkongen) <- mixed allow some "tricks" (Akumajo) <- Not sure i understand what you mean :) (Konsolkongen)

How about "Component" instead? (Konsolkongen)

----

'''more suggestions (Akumajo)'''

Special screen settings  -> SP. Screen -> Special

Special -> Advanced

Drawing method -> Interlacing '''(RGB32e) NO''' <- ok, btw DrawingMethod is 13 digits, but maybe we can find other translation :p

Interlaced / NonInterlaced -> Enabled / Disabled (or ON / OFF)

FULL_HD resolution setting -> HD Signal / Force 1080p / Full HD Fix '''(RGB32E) Exact functionality of this setting has not been determined'''

FPGA SELECT -> Firmware Mode

B0 / B1 / B2 / B3 -> Bank 0 / Bank 1 / Bank 2 / Bank 3

i dont know what to do with "dot clock", english native can explain plz ?

--- -

should they really be "Blue Gain"? i am asking because the middle value is the default. Of course theer can be negative gain, but the value is 32... so 31 would be gain at -1 right?

----

Adv. Screen -> Screen + / Screen (more) / Screen (SP.)
