The Sam Coupé is an 8-bit home computer originally released in 1989. Marketed as a logical upgrade from the ZX Spectrum with compatible modes it has an RGB output making it potentially ideal for use with the XRGB or OSSC upscalers.

Models

There was only a single revision board produced.

Important Notes

The SCART socket on the back of the SAM Coupé has a non-standard pin-out as it also has 5V and 12V inputs, TTL level output and a lightpen connection [1].

Modifications

When using an RGB cable there is a lot of reflection on the picture, the fix is a to remove inductor L5 from the main board and replace it with a wire link [2].

No changes from default settings.
